Bernedoodles are smart, playful, loyal, faithful, and have a high intelligence due to the extreme loyalty and easy going nature of the Bernese paired with the smart and hypoallergenic Poodle. Bernedoodles are typically a low shed (the feedback I have received so far from my families has indicated they are not seeing much shedding). Bernese are pretty protective of their family and a bit wary of strangers, so Bernedoodles can inherit this…so be careful to socialize them well. Bernese are typically a medium energy and are great with children! By breeding the Bernese with the Poodle, you get hybrid vigor which means a longer lifespan. Like any other doodle they need to be brushed regularly and go to a groomer on a schedule (schedule depends how good you are at brushing and how long you keep the coat).
